W3U Customer Support Monitoring web usage statistics for Platinum accounts Web site statistics for Platinum account can be viewed directly with your web browser. Type, http://www.yourdomainname/logs/usage.html, into your web browser 'location' text box, and hit 'Enter' (on the keyboard). You can then navigate thru your web usage statistics. The log files turn over at the end of each month. We place a compressed copy of the raw log data file in your log directory for you to download and/or delete at your discretion (e.g. for April of 2000, the file name is Apr100.log.gz*). We also place a summary of your web usage into an html document (e.g. for April of 2000, the file name is Apr100.html, which can be viewed with your web browser). NOTE - Should server space become limited, we may be forced to delete prior month's compressed logs. In any event, the compressed logs will remain for at least one month. We recommend downloading the backed up log data as soon as possible. What about a hit counter? * The .gz file extension signifies that the file has been compressed with the gzip UNIX command. It can be unzipped with the command, gunzip Apr100.log.gz or use gzip -d Apr100.log.gz. Alternatively, you can download the file to your home computer and then use the winzip program to decompress it (still assuming that your home computer is not a UNIX/LINUX operating system).
