domain email for CONTENTS: Administering email for the Platinum account is performed with your administrative interface (or control panel). Your autoresponders are set up with mreply. To access your administrative interface, type, http://www.yourdomainname:911/, into your web browser 'location' text box, and then hit 'Enter' (on the keyboard). You will be prompted for your username and password (if you don't know your username or password, call us at 619 444 9186). If your login is successful, you will be presented with a screen as shown here: To view your default email account set up click on the 'Forward Email' icon (or for newer systems click on the Email Addresses icon). The pop up window shows your default set up, and is shown in the following graphic:
By default, you will receive email that is sent to anybody@yourdomainname (i.e. your account set up defaults to unlimited email aliases). You will also receive email at billing, info, support, and webmaster@yourdomainname but these addresses have been configured to autorespond with an email message (see Configuring your 'autoresponder'). Messages sent to root@yourdomainname are forwarded to W3U admin (you can change this if you like, by editing the .domains file), and username@yourdomainname is your primary email address. To forward
email from an email aliases to some
other email address follow these instructions:
2.) Type your email alias into the text box (e.g. 'anything'), and click on continue. Up pops the next window:
3.) Click on the Forward Address radio button, and then enter the email address to that you want your email forwarded to. Click the Submit button. To create a new POP email account, follow Step 1.), above. Then at Step 2.), above, select the New Pop Account radio button, and click on submit. Up pops the following screen:
Type in a password for the new POP account (twice), and click Submit Query. Up pops the next screen:
To finalize the new POP account set up, click on the Submit button. Now the user with the new POP account can receive email at anything@yourname.com.
